Lubner Group Completes Thistle Lodge Veranda at Casa Ybel Resort

Thistle Lodge Flagstone Veranda

Naples, FL (June 5, 2013) — Lubner Group (, the hospitality division of Clive Daniel Home,, the Naples, Florida fine furnishings retailer, has recently completed a “makeover” of the Thistle Lodge flagstone veranda at the iconic Casa Ybel Resort CasaYbelResort on Sanibel Island, Florida.

Commented General Manager, Frolian Ramirez, Jr., “We asked Lubner Group to revitalize the space with an updated and relaxing look that would be appealing for social gatherings. They did such a great job that the outside deck has now become a popular gathering spot for resort guests, with many taking photos of the area. They are delighted with the transformation of the area since it provides an intimate, and cozy atmosphere ideal for private and group gatherings.”

According to Nancy Woodhouse, IDS, of Lubner Group and interior designer for the project, “We reinvented the space and made it more inviting by installing comfy seating with cushions in hues of vibrant, happy and eye-popping citrus colors, giving it a welcoming ‘wow’ factor. This helped to transform the area into a highly popular place to gather for cocktails overlooking the resort’s beautiful grounds.”

In 2012, Lubner Group also completed the resort’s front desk reception area as well as the total renovation of the 40 individually owned one-bedroom beachfront condominiums at the resort. There are also 74-two-bedroom timeshare villas on the 23-acre Gulf-front property, a massive pool area, six tennis courts and legendary Thistle Lodge restaurant. The condominiums are managed by Casa Hospitality Services, a division of Casa Ybel Resort Partnership. The fixed-week timeshare units are managed by Hilton Grand Vacations, under the leadership of Chris Cain.

The Lubner Group is internationally respected for its hospitality and commercial design work, providing purchasing and design services for commercial and shared-use properties plus developers of high-rise condominiums and single-family communities in North America and abroad. Casa Ybel Fitness Vacations

WINK, (local CBS) featured Casa Ybel Resort’s Fitness Vacations in a recent on-air segment.

Fitness Vacations
By Jennifer Stacy

SANIBEL ISLAND, Fla. – There’s a unique opportunity for anyone looking to escape reality, and improve their health. The new twist on vacations, called fitness retreats, are the product of Sanibel Island businesses working together, hoping to help others while helping themselves during the slow summer and fall months.

“The fitness retreats are all inclusive fitness adventure vacations where people can come and do a vacation but have it be fitness oriented.” Explains Meta Goodwin, Owner of Sanibel Fitness Center.

The new vacations allow Sanibel visitors a chance to escape reality, and focus on themselves. They’re open to all ages, and all fitness levels.

Islander Margi Landgraf is already signed up.

“My goals are just to be healthier, lose some weight, take off some inches, and an overall well being,” says Landgraf, who has gone on several fitness retreats out of state in the past.

Participants will get one-on-one personal training, take part in various fitness classes, take walks and do yoga on the beach, kayak through Sanibel’s beautiful waterways, and enjoy the island bike trails.

“We just hope that people leave here with a feeling of vitality and peace and tranquility, and feeling fit and strong,” explains Goodwin.

The hard work is well rewarded.

Guests enjoy a massage, shelling, sunset cruises, and star gazing. They stay in luxury resorts like Casa Ybel, where they dine on gourmet, healthy food supervised by Executive Chef John Wolff, under the direction of a dietitian.

“You’re exercising, your meals are planned for you, your day is planned for you, you don’t have to think about anything but you that day,” explains Landgraf. “Its ‘me’ time, you do it for yourself, don’t compete with anyone else while you’re doing it, just do it for you.”

The 3 night, four day fitness retreats cost $1,200 and include all activities, lodging and food. There are also longer options available. Visit for details and information.
